At last came the snow! Like so many others, we assembled by the window armed with cameras and knitwear.

I went to Wales to photograph Sue Denim (Robots in Disguise) for the artwork for her solo album which will be out later this year. It was freezing cold and poor Sue, dressed in only a playsuit, was wrapped in this stunning sleeping bag between shots.
I thought I’d share our Christmas card for this year, featuring Tilly the wonder dog and a sprig of mistletoe.
We were introduced to Tilly through the lovely people at Battersea Dogs and Cats Home who looked after her until we could give her what they call her forever home. That was well over a year ago now and we couldn’t have wished for a sweeter little dog.
Merry Christmas!
I photographed Jeanette Winterson in conjunction with the release of her latest book ‘Why Be Happy When You Could Be Normal?’. With not much time, we opted for the windy roof terrace at Random House overlooking the Thames. As I asked Jeanette to look away from camera, she declined explaining ‘this is a looking to camera book’. And so it was.

Favourite song: “Beggin’ you” by Frankie Valli
Adele says: it’s a song that always gets me on my feet, can’t help but move when ever I hear it. Beggin’ you is such a soulful track with a great bass line and fab lyrics. It’s a timeless song that always puts a smile on my face and makes me want to sing (out of tune) along with it, where-ever, when-ever I hear it.
Burt and Doll, my neighbours and N16 residents.
At 91 Burt has lived on the same address since he was 3; at least one Saturday a month, most of Burt and Doll’s 7 children, 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren descend on their house. Doll often mentions that she knows how fortunate they are to have family visiting so often.
When I asked if I could take their picture, Doll first worried that she hadn’t had time to do her hair but then changed her mind and relayed my request to Burt – very loudly – twice – before they both obliged and offered to move furniture around to make the best of the sparse light in their living room.

Favourite song: “Love’s gonna make a fool of you” by Buddy Holly
Sue says: When I listen to this song, I feel like a teenager. I love the guitar riffs. Buddy Holly is amazing!
If I’ve sent you a big file recently, you may have noticed that my WeTransfer wallpapers are up on my channel. Will try to update them on a monthly basis so should be something new to look at while you… wait.
I photographed the Turkish social club Yasar Place on Green Lanes as part of a new project documenting life in the N16 area of London.
By way of the classic ‘finger pressing shutter release’ gesture I was welcomed to photograph the members and lonely staff member of Yasar Place having promised at least one of the guys a ‘big print’ which I’ll be handing in later today if all goes well.
My intention is for the project to go on for some time, hopefully introducing me to people and parts of the Stoke Newington area, I wouldn’t otherwise encounter.
I went to Amersham to photograph the foley artists at Universal Sound for The Sunday Telegraph’s Seven Magazine.
I photographed dairy farmer Steve Hook in East Sussex earlier this month. The full story is yet to be published but this outtake made me smile.
I photographed chef Allegra McEvedy for a piece in DIVA magazine which is out now and features Allegra cooking up a brunch recipe out of her latest book Bought, Borrowed and Stolen: Recipes and Knives from a Travelling Chef alongside editor Jane Czyzselska.
